What is Wildcat, and What Makes a Wildcat Inspection Different?
"Wildcatting" is a phrase from the golden age of labor-organizing where workers would assert their right to the full value of their labor by initiating a "wildcat" strike spontaneously without direction or oversight of their respective unions or leadership.
Likewise, Wildcat Inspections is my own personal way to assert my right to the full value of my labor by seeking to provide outstanding service as a Home Inspector on my own, without the baggage of corporate infrastructure.
Wildcat Inspections is a deeply personal passion project where I seek to provide an outstanding inspection service at reasonable prices. Since this endeavor is something born out of pride and care; I promise you, my prospective client, five core tenets of service that I will adhere to throughout every interaction that we have:
Outstanding Customer Service
My professional life truly began in the Napa Valley resort industry, where attentive guest service is an absolute must at all times. Whether it applies to professionalism over the phone, or thoughtful listening in person, or careful verbiage during transactions; I was taught to treat all guests with absolute respect and dignity, and to go the extra mile to make their experience exceptional.
That is the exact attitude that I've sought to bring to my career as a Home Inspector, to be an outstanding listener, an outstanding speaker, and an outstanding Inspector.
Outstanding Knowledge
Inspections are something that I take very seriously, as such I carry dual certifications through both InterNACHI and ASHI. I constantly seek to keep my knowledge of construction methods and inspecting standards-of-practice up-to-date at all times. I am also not afraid to admit when I'm unaware of a finding and will always seek out the appropriate information to ensure that my clients are as informed as possible by my reports.
Outstanding Communication
From the moment an inspection is booked, I promise to be in communication and available to answer my clients' questions or concerns within a reasonable and respectful timeframe. Whether it's a simple confirmation email after an appointment is scheduled, or a detailed run-through of my findings in-person, I will always be available to ensure that my clients are kept informed at every step of the way.
Outstanding Timeliness
I value my clients' time, and I promise to not waste it.
Purchasing or selling a home or property is stressful, and timeframes can sometimes be a bit fast. My goal is to be available to perform an inspection as expediently as possible and to get my clients the reports that they need quickly.
I will strive to be punctual in my appointments, and if I am delayed in any way, I promise to communicate an hour or more before a scheduled appointment to ensure that my clients' time is respected and valued.
Additionally, I promise that all reports for all inspections will be available to my clients in a reasonable timeframe: meaning that all inspections performed before noon will have their reports emailed out before the end of that same day, and all inspections performed after noon will be emailed out before noon the following morning.
Outstanding Accountability
One of the most important lessons that I've learned in my time working in Napa Valley resort industry is that if a guest has a complaint or if I'd made a mistake, I will "own it". No passing the buck, playing the blame game, or making excuses. Mistakes happen, and I will happily do everything that I can to correct the issue for my clients rather than give them the runaround. I will always strive to address any complaints or concerns, and I will accept fair criticism as I seek to make every inspection outstanding.
